Rescue 1

Rescue 1 is first due on all Motor Vehicle Accidents and Technical Rescues. Rescue 1 serves as Rapid Intervention Team on all Structure Fires and is tasked with Incident Accountability. Powered by a Cummins 550 HP diesel engine some features include two Hurst power units with cutters and spreaders attached to 150ft. hose reels, hydraulic generator with two 200ft. cord reels, on board air compressor with 200ft. air hose, Night-Scan light tower on 23ft. Wilburt mast.

Squad 9

For 20 years Squad 9 served Jessamine County as first due on all Motor Vehicle Accidents and Rescues.  In 2009 Squad 9 was replaced as first due and has taken on a new role.  Squad 9 contains most of the technical rescue equipment needed for Rope, Swift Water, Cave and Confined Space rescues. Squad 9 is housed at Station 1 as a back-up unit for Rescue 1

B.E.R.T. Truck 4

B.E.R.T. Rescue 4 is a support vehicle acquired through a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The Bluegrass Emergency Response Team is a specialized unit developed by the Kentucky Department of Emergency Management.  Jessamine County is the Rescue Hub for Area 13 which is comprised of 11 counties surrounding Fayette County.  Learn more about BERT on the Technical Rescue page.

B.E.R.T. Rescue 1

B.E.R.T. Rescue 1 is part of the Bluegrass Emergency Response Team. The 38ft. trailer carries equipment and tools used in Structural Collapse Rescue.  Currently housed at Station 1 along with all Technical Rescue Team equipment.

Also a part of the B.E.R.T. Rescue 1 equipment, the EZ-GO is a gas powered 4-wheel drive All Terrain Vehicle.  This equipment has numerous opportunities to be used in all kinds of fire and rescue situations.  Extremely helpful for wildland fires, search and rescue operations or just around the station moving equipment to and from the Training Facility.

4-wheel drive Dodge Ram 4500 cab & chassis and is powered by a 6.7 liter Cummins Turbo Diesel. Brush Truck 1 has a skid unit powered by an 18 hp Honda motor and mounted on a Hillsboro aluminum bed. Water capacity is 250 gal. Brush Truck 1 is housed at Station 1.

Brush Truck 2 was built by the Jessamine County Fire District. The Ford F-550 cab and chassis has Darley 300gal. skid unit mounted on a Hillsboro flatbed. The Darley unit is powered by an 18 HP Honda motor and has a 10gal. foam tank. Brush Truck 2 is currently housed at Station 6.
